Ozone Therapy

Ozone’s medical application took off in the early 1950s.  It is a common modality in Europe and has continued to grow in the United States. Ozone can kill bacteria, fungus, viruses and other pathogens by just coming into contact with them.

Ozone Therapy is most commonly administered by IV infusion and joint injections.

Ozone Therapy is utilized to stimulate your body to improve mitochondrial and cellular energy production, modify inflammation and improve autonomic nervous system balance.  It can help support treatment for brain trauma & inflammation and stimulate tissue repair and regeneration.  

Most people are familiar with steroid injections to “treat” joint pain, muscle and tendon pain.  These injections due not heal, repair or regenerate tissue and should not be used as an initial treatment.

Ozone Therapy activates the immune system, improves the cellular utilization of oxygen, causes the release of growth factors, reduces pain by its action on pain receptors and can help regenerate arthritic joints and repair tissue.

It can safely be administered by IV infusion to help support cancer treatment, chronic infections and improve energy.  Injections into joints and subcutaneous tissues can help heal, repair and regenerate arthritic joints, inflammation and support PRP and stem cell injecitons. When insufflated into the sinuses and ear canal it can help treat upper respiratory and sinus infections and ear infections.  It can also help patients suffering from dizziness, vertigo and tinnitis.  Bagging Ozone over wounds of the skin can aide in the healing by increasing the oxygen supply to these tissues potentially avoiding the use of antibiotics, delayed healing or prolonged pain.

The process of an IV Ozone infusion is similar to our many IV infusions we offer.  Joint injections utilizing Ozone is a quick 10-15 minute process and the insufflation into the ear canal or intranasally is a 10 minute procedure administered by our nurse.
